PR Pitch Writing: Autumn Course Dates Plus a Free Zoom Workshop
Hello there my loves :)
The next edition of Manufacturing Serendipity will arrive in your inboxes next Friday, but in the meantime I wanted to let you know that my brilliant friend Britt Klontz and I will be running a new cohort of our PR Pitch Writing course in October.
Super Early Bird tickets are just £120* and tickets are on sale now :)
*Super Early Bird tickets are limited, regular ticket price £240. Prices quoted exclude Eventbrite fees.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Are your PR pitches failing to land coverage?
Perhaps you’ve seen the success of others, and are unsure why your pitches aren’t generating the coverage you’d hoped for. Maybe you’ve seen some success, but it all seems to be a bit hit and miss, and you’re not sure where you’re going wrong. Or, possibly, this is all new to you and you’re not sure where to begin.
If you’re struggling to figure out what to do next, or simply need a little inspiration, join Britt Klontz and Hannah Smith for this series of live workshops beginning on October 10th, 2024.
Course Content
This live cohort-based training course runs over a four-week period, with a 90 minute workshop session delivered over Zoom each week.
Attendees will be guided step-by-step through the PR pitching process Britt and Hannah personally use; they’ll suggest a range of exercises attendees might like to complete between sessions, plus there will be plenty of time for Q&A each week:
Week One: October 10th 2024, 5pm-6:30pm (UK)
Understanding what journalists want from us: how to devise relevant stories; create and segment media lists; and deal with time constraints and prioritisation.
Week Two: October 17th 2024, 5pm-6:30pm (UK)
Writing PR pitches: how to write compelling subject lines, structure your pitches, deal with objections, and ask for that link.
Week Three: October 24th 2024, 5pm-6:30pm (UK)
Expert comments: how to create expert comments that journalists will want to include in their stories, and manage journalist requests via platforms like HARO and Qwoted.
Week Four: October 31st 2024, 5pm-6:30pm (UK)
Guidance on follow ups, re-pitching, and the opportunity to ask us anything.
Attendees will leave the course:
With a clearly defined process they can use to devise their own PR pitches, and renewed confidence in their own skills
In a happier and more productive mindset
Feeling rejuvenated and excited about their work

Want to get feedback on one of your PR Pitches? Here’s your chance!
To be in with a chance of having your PR Pitch featured in our live session, simply email your pitch to: hannah@worderist.com. We can’t promise that we’ll feedback on all pitches, but we’ll get through as many as we can in the session.
Tickets are completely free, but numbers are limited - register now to secure your spot.
